New page

What was your favorite thing at OLF this year?
122 responses, some had multiple responses

*49 People (meeting, being with, community, etc.)
**I met some cool people and heard some good stories
**I loved the diversity of attendees and how welcome it seemed everybody (including myself) felt there
**I don't think I encountered one bad attitude all weekend
**I love being with my own kind in an awesome atmosphere
**Networking with like-minded people
**Watching so many people so passionately involved

**The pre-party absolutely the best ever!
**Meeting all the speakers at the Friday party

*5 After-Party
**Dual Core at the After party

*3 Expo
**BSD Stress balls!

*6 Medical track
**My girlfriend came with me this year and liked the medical track. She was not expecting to attend, but she is in medical billing and loved the speakers on Saturday

*21 Speakers/General track
**PyGTK for Beginners - Paul Frields (While not the "best" presentation, it was my favorite thing to learn.) (A 2nd person commented on this talk)
**Getting to see an Arduino breathalyzer being (partially) assembled as the "Don't Copy that Floppy" rap played in the background
**Nagios talk
**Balog's Open Source Business talk (2nd person commented on this talk)
**IPV6 talk
**I thought it was cool that there were so many women speakers
**Good selection of speakers
**Very much liked the presentations I attended
**Variety of topics, some more technical, some less. Nice mix.
**Both hearing a good security talk and learning about IPv6
**Good mix of talks
**I really liked the Intro to Video Editing, makes me want to give it a try. (2 other people commented on this talk)
**Getting the opportunity to speak
**Thought-provoking presentations
**Quality of most of the talks
**Stormy Peter's Keynote
**Chance to win some nice prizes

*Generic/Misc:
**Everything
**My lovely wife got me a supporter package
**The variety of tracks and presentations was good
**Information
**This has been the best IT conference I've attended so far
**The topic selection was good. In years past conference topics tended toward beginner/evangelizing. It was good to see this year that the topics also included things for Administrators/Developers. PLEASE continue to consider the wide audience that OLF attracts and try to provide topics for everyone.
**The free gifts in the tote bag
**The Friday lunch rocked
**Too many great things to pick just one
**This year's t-shirt
**The staff
