What was your favorite thing at OLF this year? 122 responses, some had multiple responses


  • 49 People (meeting, being with, community, etc.)
    • I met some cool people and heard some good stories
    • I loved the diversity of attendees and how welcome it seemed everybody (including myself) felt there
    • I don't think I encountered one bad attitude all weekend
    • I love being with my own kind in an awesome atmosphere
    • Networking with like-minded people
    • Watching so many people so passionately involved

    • Getting to see an Arduino breathalyzer being (partially) assembled as the "Don't Copy that Floppy" rap played in the background

    • Balog's Open Source Business talk (2nd person commented on this talk)
    • IPV6 talk
    • I thought it was cool that there were so many women speakers
    • Good selection of speakers
    • Very much liked the presentations I attended
    • Variety of topics, some more technical, some less. Nice mix.
    • Both hearing a good security talk and learning about IPv6

    • This has been the best IT conference I've attended so far
    • The topic selection was good. In years past conference topics tended toward beginner/evangelizing. It was good to see this year that the topics also included things for Administrators/Developers. PLEASE continue to consider the wide audience that OLF attracts and try to provide topics for everyone.
